Start with the least flexible part of your workday. A time-sensitive call or long focus block deserves a more predictable setup. For flexible work, a cafe can be enough when recent reports say the conditions match the session.

Three simple starting points make the choice less romantic and more reliable.
Decision 1
A cafe can be a good fit for an email block, light admin or a short creative session when you can adapt to the room. Check the latest work-specific report for noise, Wi-Fi and whether a laptop session is welcome before you go.
Decision 2
A coworking space is usually the better starting point when you need a longer focus block, a scheduled call or a more predictable desk setup. Confirm the day-pass rules and the exact call setup directly with the space.
Decision 3
A popular place is not automatically right for your task. If the field report is old, the call policy is unclear or the room sounds unsuitable, keep searching. The useful choice is the one that protects today’s work.
Do not confuse a place type with proof
Cafes change through the day. Coworking spaces have their own access and call arrangements. Photos and broad ratings do not tell you whether the conditions fit a real work session right now.
Use the venue type to narrow the search, then use recent field context to make the decision. If the signal is missing, ask the place directly or choose a plan that leaves room to switch.
